Flickr Favorites #1

Flickr provides worlds of inspiration from photographers of all walks of life. I thought it would be neat to share weekly some of the many talented people on flickr who take pictures that inspire and give endless ideas to me and others.

1.
Bullwinkle J. Moose

2.
Cactus Blooming in Teapot

3.

4.

1. Bob Davidson
2. Garrett Allen
3. Ansel Adams
4. Garret Veley

Plants can be really difficult to photograph because they don't move, pose, and anyone can see them. That is why I am inspired by people who make photographs of plants interesting. These are four great examples of how to do just that through perspective, composition, detail, and distortion, respectively. Plus, taking a photograph of a plant that people don't generally see everyday also works.

p.s. I love cacti.
