This weeks book review is from Italo Calvino's Baron in the Trees. In short, it is about a young boy from an Italian family that refuses family tradition, decorum, and his right as future Baron for a life in the trees.
The trees give the boy an entirely different perspective and view on the lives and country below him. It's a great story and a wonderful book, but it is also a reminder that the world can be viewed in many (and unconventional) ways. People are creating and exploring different perspectives everyday through all kinds of art, be it photography, painting, writing, or drawing. And it may be fantastic to think of all these artists in trees, I really take the analogy to heart on the ground.
