More Dressage

I have been practicing with Ingrid as she has been giving me the finer tips on how to photograph a horse and rider. I learned a lot of things during this photo shoot, like the best moment to photograph a horse when it is cantering and trotting. It's almost like a photographing a person walking or dancing because you have to take a lot of picture to capture the moment when the motion is stopped but still looks natural and fluid in a photograph. Here are my best from that day.

Odie is a beautiful horse. He was very interested in me and the camera while I was in the arena and would look at me as he trotted or cantered by.

This is mid trot. Ingrid told me to look out for plenty of triangles in the legs for a good image.

And this is the most opportune time to photograph a horse while it's cantering. Ingrid told me to look out for just one back hoof touching the ground. It's very graceful to watch.

Afterwards, Odie likes to roll around in the dirt because he gets itchy from sweating. It's very funny to see such a large animal roll around on the ground.

Awesome Nadine!

Lexie: I'm still learning so much. I thought it was going to be simple, haha.
