Holga #3
Holga images from April. Sometimes when I take pictures for the sake of taking pictures, the images tend to not come out all that interesting. They are definitely Spring themed - here are a few of the better ones:
I rather like the way this turned out. It was originally an action shot, but I took it too soon. The only way I could think of to fix it was by making it a double exposure with trees.
The creek provided a surprising amount of fun.
Spring flowers - not intended to be so dark, but I kinda like it that way.

If you are a fan of Flickr Favorites or would like to be featured here, please email me 4 links to your best/favorite photographs from your Flickr to letitberaw(at)gmail(dot)com. I will link all photos back to your Flickr and share a link to your photo-stream/website. FYI: I will only post photos I genuinely like. Please see previous posts for reference.
Does this sounds like a good idea to anyone? I thought it would be a great way to share photography with other photographers and people interested in photography - you know, trying to branch out a little.
p.s. I did a guest post at Yellow Bird Yellow Beard about my undying love for photography! Check it out here.

Crossing off the list
Good news! I meant to get this out over the weekend, but didn't quite find the time - because I was too excited shooting with my new DSLR!!!! For Christmas, my great friend Devin pulled a bunch of my family and friends together and got them all to give me a starter fund for a DSLR. I have been saving up since December and finally took the leap last week to order a new camera. I couldn't be more thankful! I will be sending out thank you cards and giving a print to everyone who helped me.
I'm super stoked, but also nervous about how many new things I need to
learn. But in the big picture, this is just another step to having my
own business. Also, I get to cross something off my 30 by 30 list :)

I tried to find photos that I would either consider to by my style or that I would like to imitate. That's part of the reason while my eyes gobble up photos non-stop. Anyone else feel that way?
p.s. I have good news to share over the weekend!!!!!!

Straight Lines For States
Visit my friend Eric's blog!
I designed his first (of many) album cover :)
He's decided to write about his musical experience and share his thoughtful and creative ideas about making music, playing music, and having a life filled with... well, music. Drop by and say hi!

Sea Blocks
Something new I've been playing with. Just trying to find the right combination of images next to each other, which is harder than it looks, at least for me.
In other news...
In other news...
I find out if I get to keep my job or not in a couple of weeks. Things are a little overwhelming right now and it makes me feel like my life is a fart. All I want to do is go outside and take pictures, damn it! And I do. And then I want to do it all over again. I don't know I could handle being unemployed again like I was before - so I'm hoping something good will happen.

Printing Paper 7
Another Rock! I know, I'm a sucker.
This is a weather and ocean worn rock from off the coast of highway 1 near Big Sur not 20 feet away from the ocean. When I was developing this image in the dark room, a few people thought it was a picture of trees. I can see that.
I'm really fascinated with the crevices and round little holes created by water. I understand that water can wear rocks down into new shapes and forms, but at the same time it just seems so impossible to me. Does anyone else weirded out by the seemingly impossible things nature can do?

Happy Easter!
The chickens' eggs taste extra delicious today! Good job, ladies.
I still get excited about every holiday and I hope to never outgrow that feeling. I'll be going to see my parents soon and eat lots of chocolate then enjoy a family dinner with relatives. There really is no reason for me not to like this holiday. What do you do on Easter?

This is what Natural Bridges looks like now. In this post I mentioned Natural Bridges and promised a picture of what the Bridge used to look like before it was worn away. I can't post the image here due to copyrights, but you can view the image here.
