Nick
Back 1
Back 2
This set is from a new project I'm working on with Nick as my model. I want to create images involving skin and surroundings with the use of texture and extreme lighting if possible. So early morning light, dusk, shade, whatever, with sand, water, rocks, wood, etc. It will involve a lot of traveling and awkward requests so I think it will be great. I'm definitely looking forward to taking more pictures.

Dangerous Games

How to macro:
1. Position lens inches or less away from subject matter.
2. Do whatever is possible to do that, even if that means falling down a hill. The shot will be worth it. Probably.
3. Safety always comes 2nd.

Macro Work

Originally uploaded by Let It Be Raw
I make a lot of mistakes with macro: low light, forgetting to use a tripod, among other things. But sometimes, as seems to be the case with me and photography, mistakes make the photo more interesting/better (although I wouldn't know what it would look like without mistakes). Anyways, the lighting isn't that great, I didn't use a tripod, my hands where shaking because it was cold, and I couldn't get the macro to focus on the entire mushroom. But hey, that lil' baby mushroom is pretty darn cute.
